Love the curtain before/afters!

The previous homeowners wrecked the ceilings in our home in the kitchen, dining and living room. They were popcorn to begin with. They took down square light fixtures from 1961, and replaced them with round ceiling fans. Their patchwork was beyond lousy. They didn’t even try to make it look decent. There was a long crack from a useless beam that we took down, a large hole in the kitchen ceiling that wasn’t patched…🤦‍♀️ So, I had the idea-yes, I was proud that it was my idea, to just cover it all up with beadboard and firring strips. It looks amazing! It was a lot of work, but far easier and more beautiful than scraping, patching, repainting… We’ve now just sold our house. The ceilings were a wonderful selling feature! 👍🏼🥳

Man I’d just be thrilled if mine came off in one whole tile 🤦🏼‍♀️ mines just breaking off in pieces. They used actual mortar to put the tiles up. It’s from 1920, so I’m pretty sure thin set wasn’t a thing back then. I’ve been at it for days.

Nice video but the yellow nail polish would take some getting used to. 😂😂. Just my opinion

Love how creative you are and the little details you put into it. I just had a few questions, did you have to follow any guidelines or did you have to ask for any special permission to do all that? I ask because for our school we have to follow the guidelines they give us we really can’t paint our walls or have to have certain products from certain stores to avoid liability. And if you had those restricts what is your advise to still be able to be creative? I really want to change my classroom up but I’m faced with that challenge.

I found your video and you know what it thes best on internet with all this information <3 thanks for making such video ❤ and btw your smile is so beautiful 😍💫 subscribed :) Need one suggestion - I am thinking of using curtain track system from ikea mounted on ceiling, double layer curtains, outmost white linen and second layer is sand color linen sheer. Would you recommend this combination or I should choose dual rod mounted on wall instead ? also if I should go for rod .. would black looks better than white rod .. with white curtains ?

I love love love mid century modern architecture and furniture. My home’s architecture is not mid century. However, I’d like to furnish it in that style. Any rules around meshing mid century interior design with homes that may be more traditional in architecture?

Wow, nice work! I detest drywall dust, so I may check out that product...although "See Jane Drill" here on UA-cam shows a very nice way to get a smooth finish without sanding (worth watching!). I also have textured walls, and drywall fixes are in my future. I hope my results will look as good as yours!
